Personal Challenges

Whether its riding, walking, dancing, shaving your beard - you can set yourself a challenge and get friends, family and colleagues to support you by donating to Sheffield Mind.

Sponsored events are a great way of generating money as people can give relatively small amounts but the cumulative effect of their generosity can be HUGE.

It can be very rewarding to set yourself a challenge and see it through to completion, it can be a personal goal, a team challenge that you can do with mates and colleagues or something silly that people can get behind.

In the past year we've had people shaving heads, running marathons, walking up mountains and getting on their bikes - and doing so because they want to support the work we are doing and to raise awareness pf mental health issues.

Here are just a few ideas to get you thinking

Setting Up Your Challenge

If you would like to set up a challenge of your own, you can contact the office to tell us all about it and we will do what we can to help and promote [email protected]

If you would like to join an existing challenge there are plenty of them, find out more HERE

Most are 'Own Place' challenges requiring you to register and buy a place. As soon as you have done so, get in touch and we can help you get the word out and celebrate what you are doing. Maybe you can set up a fundraising page that charts your progress and onto which you can add pictures and training updates - maybe you could submit a training blog like marathon man Jim.
