About Sheffield Mind Anger Management Courses

Our free 8-week anger management courses are for men who struggle to manage and contain anger and will help them learn how to express their feelings more effectively and build resilience so they're more able to cope with stressful situations.

People accessing the courses will need to demonstrate commitment to change and will be supported throughout, by two Sheffield Mind course facilitators.

In addition to getting an opportunity to learn about anger and understand what triggers an angry response, participants are given a safe space in which they can discuss in an open and honest manner, the issues/people or situations that cause them to lose control. Peer support is an important element of the course.

In order to be considered for the course, you are required to complete and return the online referral form that you can access via the above link. After we receive the referral form, we will ask you to attend an assessment interview, but please note that we are not able to work with people who are currently physically violent, or who would be aggressive in a group setting.

The feedback we've had from clients who have completed the course has been incredibly positive and many claim that sessions and the tools and techniques they've learned have been life-changing..

Click on the images below to read about the experiences of service users who have completed the course.

'I wanted to make changes to my life and believe the tools and techniques I've learned have allowed me to do just that. I now have a vast Mental Tool Kit, to enable me to control myself, for the rest of my life'.

'It's not always easy taking that first step BUT it can be life changing - I'm so glad I made the decision to give Anger Management a go'.
