Online there are a range of ways which we can learn about gambling-related harm and hear the stories of others. It  can be useful to hear how others have been impacted by gambling and hear the different paths to recovery which can look different for different people.

The essence of this podcast is to highlight the array of issues relating to gambling and the negative effects it can have on one’s life. 


All In

This is a podcast circulating around gambling addictions and the impacts this topic has on the gambler, the family and the world that surrounds them. 


The Invisible Addiction

Hosted by Alex Lewis, this podcast is led by an expert by experience as he has suffered from a prior gambling addiction. The inspiration behind the creation of The Invisible Addiction is due to the loss of a young man in his community due to gambling-related suicide, encouraging Lewis to open up about his own experiences. At its core, its goal is to raise awareness of gambling addiction and highlight gambling-related harm to others.


All Bets Are Off

The All Bets Are Off podcast foregrounds the idea of recovering from a gambling addiction. The topics covered within the conversations cover a vast array of subjects such as signposting and stories about the recovery of others. Throughout the podcast, there are opportunities to speak to industry specialists and ultimately, the goal of All Bets Are Off is to encourage wanting for changes that uplift and transform someone’s life, as well as reform.


New Beginnings

Abi Feltham hosts New Beginnings, navigating throughout women’s experience of gambling harms which are often blindsided, downplayed and neglected. As someone who has recovered from alcohol and the misuse of substances, Feltham paves a narrative for women whose experiences are invalidated, which is rooted within the 10-part series expanding on research conducted in 2021 concerning how approachable, accessible, and effective women find current support and treatment services. Within the episodes, there are various guest speakers with lives experiences of gambling harm, alongside information on signposting to different services and support available to listeners.


The Problem Gambling Podcast

Presented by addiction counsellor, Barry Grant, alongside addiction counsellor, author and expert by lived experience, Tony O’Reilly. This podcast explores the notion of gambling and likewise, gambling-related harm, and likewise, it raises awareness towards a project of Extern Problem Gambling, part of the registered charity, Extern Ireland.
