What is Movement Therapy?

People don’t always have the words to express what they are feeling. Movement Psychotherapy is an approach to psychological treatment that doesn’t rely on talking about problems as the only way of exploring and understanding them. Based on the premise that the body and mind are inextricably linked, Movement Therapy works with the body’s expression in movement to explore held beliefs about the self and patterns of relating.

Movement Therapy is an inclusive practise. You do not need to be able to move in a particular way – we are moving all the time - breath is movement!
