Ryan and his team at 26RR have been supporting us for the last couple of years and, in addition to the fantastic work they have done to raise funds, they have been playing a vital role in promoting greater awareness of mental health in the community at large but particularly amongst men.

The boxing community have been very supportive of the work Sheffield Mind have been doing locally to encourage men to address mental health concerns and have been promoting the benefits of exercise as a way of improving overall wellbeing.

Ryan's support in allowing us to have a presence at his events and in the gym allows us to reach a section of the community that have failed to engage with traditional approaches to mental health. The positive association with the gym is helping reduce the stigma around mental health conditions; helping us to share vital information about the work we do and the services that are available to people who need them.

In the two years before the pandemic, we attended several high profile events and received over £2000 in donations - most from the auction of sporting items that Ryan manages to source and his MC sells on the night. The generosity of Sheffield people is quite something and they never fail to put their hands in their pockets!

It's been a pleasure working with Ryan and all the team at 26RR and we appreciate the all the work he and the team do - long may it continue!

If you would like to support our work and get involved on a long-term basis, please call the office on 0114 258 4489 ext 107 to discuss options.
