Sheffield Mind really benefits from all charitable donations because every penny helps to fund our resources, to keep essential services running, and to maintain a safe and functioning work-place environment.
We are fortunate to have great support from people in Sheffield and are always overwhelmed by the generosity and willingness of people to give up time and energy to help raise awareness of mental health and the services we provide and to also raise funds to help those services develop and continue.
Our regular fundraisers play such a key part in this because they are so dedicated to gathering the voluntary contributions which keep our charity running. We want to celebrate these unsung heroes and to celebrate the hard work and dedication that goes into helping us keep doing what we do!
Ryan Rhodes
Local boxing legend Ryan Rhodes, who was both British and European Light-Middleweight Champion, is a knock-out fundraiser for Sheffield Mind and he pays particular interest and care to men's mental health. Some of many events Ryan has got us involved in include; exciting fight nights where we get to shake a bucket and soak up the ring-side atmosphere, and even an evening in conversation with Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury. Ryan has helped to raise over £3000 for us, we're certainly glad he's in our corner!
Local Nando's Restaurants
When it comes to fundraising, Nando's don't chicken-out! In actual fact, local Nando's branches have done so much for Sheffield Mind over the past two years. To name a few... they hosted a family fun day for their staff and all proceeds went to Sheffield Mind, which helped to partly fund and improve our new Anger Management service. They play fun in-restaurant games with their customers, including 'balance a coin on a lemon' and tricky guessing games. Excitingly, they also hosted a dazzling Cabaret Night, featuring a thrilling drag race and a Gary Barlow look-a-like ... all in the name of Sheffield Mind! What a raging success!
