A team of eight staff from Sheffield Mutual, including the Chief Executive Jamie Bellamy, and Chief Operating Officer Paul Galloway, will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 17th April 2021 to raise vital funds for Sheffield Mind.

The team were keen to support a local charity as Chief Executive James Bellamy explains, ;

“Following the Government’s proposal around outdoor events organised by a business or charity being allowed to resume from the 12th April, we are thrilled to be supporting Sheffield Mind for our upcoming challenge.

In line with our history, heritage and ethical values, Sheffield Mutual is committed to helping charities and good causes.

The past twelve months have been tough for everyone, so it feels fitting to support a charity who themselves have supported and cared for many others during these difficult times. What better way to pledge our support by putting on our walking boots and taking on Yorkshire’s three peaks!”

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24.5 mile walk which includes 1,585m of ascent up the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. This is no 'walk in the park' and the climbs are tough BUT there are few better places to earn your blisters and we are hugely grateful to the whole team for supporting us.

We know that they have been using lockdown to get some practice walks in, fortunately its one of the few things we have been encouraged to do and as you can see from the challenge blog, the team have made the most of every opportunity to get out and about  Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge update - January | Sheffield Mutual
