We were delighted to be approached by local music enthusiasts Jack and Conor, with details of an anniversary event they were organising to celebrate the first birthday of their house and techno event, Factor 50. In addition to raising the roof, the guys are hoping to raise essential funds for Sheffield Mind to support the work we do in the city. The duo were keen to support a local cause and to celebrate the local music scene and have teamed up with popular venue Sidney and Matilda, to host the day long extravaganza. We could tell you all about it BUT they do it better than us so read on and find out more!

We're celebrating the first birthday of Factor 50 by taking over Sidney & Matilda for a multi-room day party packed full of house, techno, trance, breaks and electro.

We've invited some of our favourite Sheffield DJ's and collectives to spin some heat all in aid of Sheffield Mind. All profits from the event will help provide emotional and practical support to people in Sheffield with mental health issues thanks to the amazing work of Sheffield Mind.

We are thrilled to present our biggest lineup to date, featuring an array of Factor 50 debuts. First up, we welcome the talented Glasgow native, Colettee, whose multi-genre madness is guaranteed to get you grooving. Newly born alias, Fetamorphosis, unveils his rhythmic and percussive sound for the very first time at Factor 50. Residents of underground Sheffield party, Magnetic North, namely Fen and Albion, come together for a special B2B set filled with irresistible techno rollers.

We're excited to have Sheffield party scene mainstays, Texture Sounds, take their place on the lineup. Their signature four-way back-to-back performances fuse sounds from across the music spectrum, often surprising listeners with unexpected combinations. Adding to the excitement are the talented underground dance music collective, UDAYA, as they make their debut. Originally conceived as a community radio in 2020, UDAYA has since dedicated itself to uplifting local talent and providing opportunities to up-and-coming DJs whenever possible.

Returning to the stage after their debut, the high-flying Son Of is set to deliver syncopated drums and heavy basslines that will undoubtedly leave you bouncing. Finally, the bill is topped by residents 97/98, who will blend emotive cuts of house, techno, and trance, creating an atmosphere throughout their set. Suncream at the ready because things are about to get extra spicy.

Sounds Fantastic!  We are incredibly grateful to the organisers and all the participating DJ's for supporting us in this way and we can't wait to get our groove on! The event takes place on the 17th June 2023. Doors open at 1.00 p.m.
