I am HCPC and BAAT registered Art Psychotherapist - graduating with my Masters from Leeds Beckett University. Prior to this I worked as a social worker in a number of factors within the Children
and Families field and then moved on to work with an NGOs and charities supporting those in need.

I have worked with children of all ages, sibling groups and parents and carers to support young people. I believe that everyone, no matter what circumstance or background they come through should have an equal opportunity to not only survive but thrive. You don't have to be 'good' at art to do art therapy - if you enjoy being creative in any way, shape or foam - You might find art therapy is the right fit for you. I would love the honour of working with you to support your healing journey.

I work in a non-directive, client centred approach which means that, rather than doing a specific activity/theme which has been planned prior to the session, I will allow the client to explore what they wish to do & discuss. I believe the best environment for effective therapeutic work to take place is one where the client feels safe. I endeavour to do this by building a strong therapeutic relationship with the client in the sessions. Primarily I work with an art psychotherapeutic format but draws on another therapeutic approaches and understandings such as mindfulness, trauma-informed, attachment-based psychotherapy and neurobiological evidence based practise. I love narrative-based therapeutic work as everyone has a story to tell.
