We're working with SYFR to deliver our Magpies project, which provides emotional and practical support to people who have an issue with hoarding. Hoarding can create real risks to safety and we are working with clients to address the issues which are causing this behaviour and also reducing where possible, the volume of the hoard to make the property and the home environment a safer one.

Hoarding is a widespread issue affecting approximately 2-5% of the population – over 1.2 million people in the UK alone - and when severe, is associated with substantial functional disability. It is a distressing issue which can have a negative impact on the individual, families and wider community.

The project is only 18 months in duration but we hope that the data we collect and the progress we make with clients will lead to further work in this area.
