Art therapy is helpful for various mental health problems and improves physical, mental and emotional well-being. It's often difficult to talk directly about problems and when we can't find the words to describe our thoughts and feelings, using art materials and images can help us to communicate them more easily.

You don't need any experience or skills in art and it's not about producing a wonderful work of art. It's an opportunity to understand yourself better by using art materials to communicate in a safe environment. The aim is to help you change and grow and to manage behaviours and feelings. Art therapy can reduce stress and improve self-esteem.

Clients can use art materials to communicate difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions that might be very difficult to express with words.
