Therapist – Community Rehabilitation Service

Hours:  37 hours    Salary: £23,698 p.a.

Contract: 12 Months

Sheffield Mind is looking to recruit a therapist to work in partnership with South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Service (SYCRC) to carry out assessments and deliver therapy to offenders to effect empowerment and change.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic individual with the ability to communicate with and motivate challenging clients. This post will also require excellent planning and organisational, including work load management and data collection. The successful candidate will be based in Sheffield but will be required to travel.

Previous experience of working within mental health and with a wide range of emotional and psychological disorders is essential.

Get Set to Go Coordinator

Hours:      14.8 hours     Salary: £23,698 p.a. (pro rata)

Contract:  18 Months (with aim to achieve continued funding)

Sheffield Mind is looking to recruit a coordinator to develop and deliver our exciting Get Set to Go programme. This innovative service has been developed by Mind in association with Sport England and the Community Fund and is supported by the English Football League (EFL) as part of the ‘On Your Side’ partnership with Mind.

Get Set to Go aims to engage people with mental health difficulties in physical activity or sport as a way of addressing the impact of their mental health difficulties and reducing the risks to physical ill health of prolonged inactivity.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic coordinator who can engage and motivate volunteers and participants in physical activity. This should be relative to their needs and interests. This post will also require an ability to manage and oversee the collection and processing of data relevant to the programme. Coordinators will be required to organise structured 12 week groups, taster sessions and also to signpost participants to mainstream local activities. The coordinator may also be involved in supporting our trainer in delivering Mental Health Awareness training to colleagues from the sport and physical activity sector.

Previous experience of supporting people with mental health difficulties and/or an understanding of the sport and physical activity sector would be desirable. A clear understanding of how physical activity can have a positive impact on mental health is essential to the role. A commitment to service user involvement and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people is also required.
