On Tuesday 23rd February, Sheffield Mind held our latest Open Minds (service user involvement) session.

We looked at the themes coming from our recent service user survey and explored any ideas for doing things differently. A huge part of what we looked at was how people had experienced the lockdown and its impact on how they accessed services. The group reflected on the survey findings - there was a mix of experiences, some people found accessing support by telephone or online (e.g. Zoom) to be helpful and preferable to face to face, whereas others felt unable or uncomfortable accessing digital and telephone support and preferred being able to maintain face to face support.

We were pleased to find that, overwhelmingly, there had been a positive experience of using Sheffield Mind’s services during the pandemic and that our staff are seen as supportive, friendly, kind and polite.

Thanks to all the service users who took part.
