Our ManKind peer support group for men in Sheffield welcomed representatives from national Mind last week to talk about  how and why we need to provide groups of this kind, where men can speak freely and openly about their mental health.

The team appreciated the opportunity it gave to gather honest opinions about the services available and how and what needs to be done to engage men more effectively. Visiting staff commented 'It was a great conversation and what we heard will be really helpful for our report, and for our work in the future on men’s mental health. They concluded their visit by stating, 'The group is a great example of how services can effectively support men and what 'good' looks like'.
We are grateful to all the staff and volunteers that contribute their time and expertise to our peer support services, If you're interested in finding out more about the groups we provide, click here for details.
