Parenting Groups

Sheffield Mind and Parent Lifeline (Helpline for Parents) run a series of courses for parents and carers of children of all ages. The 7-session courses present various parenting strategies. We consider what influences behaviour, well-being and child-parent relationships; what helps.

Courses for Parents - Dates

Effective Parenting (For parents/carers of children aged 0-7)
Starts Thursday 2nd October 2008 at 7.30 pm
also from Tuesday morning March 3rd 2009 at 9.30 am (creche)

Assertiveness for Parents (For parents/carers of children aged 2-18)
Starts Tuesday morning 4th November 2008 at 9.30 am (creche)
also from Thursday evening 30th April 2009 at 7.30 pm (tbc)

N.B. It is essential to put names on the waiting list by filling in an Application Form as soon as possible. Recent courses have been oversubscribed

Some places will be available in our free creche for Tuesday morning courses.

Courses fees: £15 (concessions available). The fee includes the cost of the handbook, which participants keep, and tea or coffee & biscuits after each session. Each session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes + 30 minutes coffee and chat.
