ONE TO ONE COUNSELLING (waiting list currently closed, if you are aged 50 or over see below for our 50+ service)

The service is for people aged 18 upwards who are registered with a Sheffield GP Practice. We offer up to six months counselling/psychotherapy.

ONE TO ONE ART THERAPY (waiting list open)

Clients can use art materials to communicate and express difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions that might be very difficult to express with words. You don't need any experience or skills in art and it's not about producing a wonderful work of art. It's an opportunity to understand yourself better by using art materials to communicate in a safe environment.

ART THERAPY GROUP (waiting list open)

Art therapy is helpful for various mental health problems and improves physical, mental and emotional well-being. It's often difficult to talk directly about problems and when we can't find the words to describe our thoughts and feelings, using art materials and images can help us to communicate them more easily. You don't need any experience or skills in art and it's not about producing a wonderful work of art. It's an opportunity to understand yourself better by using art materials to communicate in a safe environment. The aim is to help you change and grow and to manage behaviours and feelings. Art therapy can reduce stress and improve self-esteem.

AGE BETTER SHEFFIELD - WELLBEING PRACTITIONERS - 50+ Service

Wellbeing Practitioners provide counselling services as part of the Age Better in Sheffield programme, the service is for people aged 50+ who are experiencing social isolation.

Clients meet with a counsellor every week in a private room at our office or we can provide a service in a person's home if they live in a delegated area. Each session lasts 50 minutes. A series of 6 sessions is sometimes enough to help the client move on or they may need counselling over a much longer period of time.
