F/T Coordinator– Ripple Effect Project

37 hours per week  Salary: £22,937 - £24,472

We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and develop this project into an effective community based asset. Candidates should possess a can-do attitude and be able to work to their own initiative, as well as part of a team, in a sensitive yet effective way with recently bereaved clients.

This is a new and innovative project which will be centred on developing community based support regarding bereavement. We will be offering people aged 50+, who have recently been bereaved, the opportunity to receive support maintaining or developing their skills and routines around meeting practical, day-to-day needs or in receiving emotional support to promote their resilience to assist them in remaining engaged in their community from where they can continue to contribute and draw positive strength to prevent isolation and loneliness.

We are looking for someone to coordinate the project and its delivery whilst also fulfilling a role as a keyworker. The keyworker element of this post is to provide either emotional or practical support to clients of the service.

The emotional role involves providing emotional support within a bereaved client’s home and in the community to enable them to develop emotional resilience, in order to support independent living and increase social activity.

The practical role involves assisting clients in developing or learning practical skills and routines which they feel they may need or are missing following their bereavement. These could include developing skills around planning and doing the shopping, budgeting, basic cooking, cleaning and tidying, using the washing machine and paying bills etc.

2 Part Time Key Workers - Connect 3 Service 

1 post – 22.2 hours / 1 post – 29.6 hours

Salary:  £17,556 - £21,043 (pro rata)

*This post is initially for 12 months with the potential for extension (subject to funding)

Sheffield Mind delivers the Connect 3 service in partnership with South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA). Connect 3 is a mental health service focussed around supporting people with their housing. Sheffield mind works with people in their own tenancies who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

The service we provide is responsive to client choice and need; enables clients to live as independently as possible; maximises the control they have over their lives through taking charge of decisions that affect them.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to promoting peoples mental health. This should be alongside an understanding of the needs and issues that can present for people relating to everyday life and in particular, their housing.

We welcome applications from across the community and in particular from minority ethnic groups. Access to, and the use of, a car is of particular use in this role.
